Karen loves telling stories. She is a creative spirit, painter and graphic designer, who also has a passion for theater. Karen has acted in numerous dramas and comedies on stage and in film in the Atlanta area for over 20 years. Her technical theatrical experience includes directing, working backstage, lighting and sound. She is a founding member of the In-House Writers, and a member of the Dramatists Guild, the Honor Roll and Merely Writers. She also coordinates the Local Playwright Series for the Pumphouse Players in Cartersville, Georgia.
Karen started writing plays because she loves telling stories – especially ones that are women driven ones. Her main goal is to create works that feature strong, complex female characters. Most of her plays focus on relationships in situations that cause stress, either funny or dramatic.
Karen's work is best suited for small to medium spaces, usually with one set, 4-6 characters and subjects that are relatable to the general audience.
